Game Notes

-Minnesota’s missed 47-yard field goal as time expired gave North Carolina a 19-17 season-opening win.

-UNC kicker Noah Burnette booted four second-half field goals, three of which from distances of 42 yards out or longer.

-UNC graduate defensive tackle Jahvaree Ritzie had a career-high 3.0 sacks and five solo tackles in the win.

North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton

-Hampton carried the ball 30 times for 129 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per attempt in the Tar Heel win. 

-His longest rush was 16 yards. He also had five catches for 17 yards but did not find the end zone.


Looking Ahead

Minnesota EDGE Anthony Smith

-Redshirt sophomore edge rusher looks the part at 6-6, 285.
