Nov. 29, 2024 - Kinnick Stadium - Iowa City, IA

Iowa 13, Nebraska 10 | Box Score | Nebraska Recap | Iowa Recap |

Game Notes

-Iowa won The Heroes Game against Nebraska for the ninth time in the last ten years thanks to a 53-yard Drew Stevens field goal as time expired for a 13-10 Hawkeye victory.

-The temperature at game time was 20 degrees, making it the second-coldest game in Kinnick Stadium history.

-Hawkeye fifth-year inside linebacker Jay Higgins tallied a game-high 12 tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage.

Prospect Spotlight

-Johnson was held to 45 rushing yards on 17 carries but did take a swing pass 72 yards for a career-long touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

-Johnson also had a 25-yard rush in the third for this 21st carry of 20 yards or more on the year.

-The junior projects as a solid day-two pick if he declares for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Looking Ahead

Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola

-Raiola completed 22-of-32 passes for 190 yards to close out his first collegiate regular season.

-Ball security was an issue; Raiola fumbled three times, with the last strip-sack with 16 seconds remaining in Cornhusker territory setting up the game-winning field goal.

-Raiola also guided Nebraska to control the ball for more than 39 minutes and convert on 8 of 17 third days … it just didn’t result in enough points to get the W.
